In the midst of our celebration, we take time to remember that this season is more than an assortment of great food, gifts and family visits.  

This is the time to remember that we are extraordinary beings and that our Christ light shines here and now – not merely a light of love but a light of power.  

The birth of Jesus is about the unfoldment of a consciousness that is not mired by a world of distraction, discord and disconnection from unlimited source but about the grace of pure love that lifts us above the ugliness of hatred, scorn and contempt.   God is always blessing us as pure Spirit, the infinite realm of absolute good – everywhere present.

This is not merely an ancient birth but one that keeps delivering souls.  Our souls are spiritual beings having a human experience, born, delivered, expressed as the love in whose image and likeness we were created.

New community spaces

We are so much more than the world and its limitations of gossip and criticism, ridicule or marginalization.  Christ is conceived in us above the fray of fear or dysfunction but is the birth of new awareness, the eternal presence of God conceiving us in the kingdom of grace.   In the second chapter of Matthew, the biblical witness tells us that after Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, a Magi from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.”

On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.  And having been warned in a dream not to go back to Herod, they returned to their country by another route.  When they had gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream.  “Get up,” he said, “take the child and his mother and escape to Egypt.  Stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to search for the child to kill him.”

The ego Herod will kill all infant thoughts of higher consciousness.  We, however, must protect new energy of Truth so that it matures in the fullness of God.  This is the season that renews the Christ Spirit in us, reminding us not to throw our pearls before swine but to grow in the fullness of a consciousness centered only in love.

When we can bring the truth of love everywhere present (gold), the truth of love as the only power there is (frankincense), and the truth of love as the only wisdom there is (myrrh), we arrive at the bedside of baby Jesus – that Christ in us, that is always present, always blessing as us.

This is a prayer that lifts even the smallest spark of the divine in us above the bloodshed and remorse of ego, so that we experience a consciousness that neither hides, nor sins, nor limits itself but grows, and expands, and increases, and enlarges, and favors, and blesses with the fullness of Christ. 

Dear Power everywhere present, lift me above the limitation of doubt and rise in m the awesome gift of the whole being of God as me, so that I will shine my light and be more than a conqueror.  Pray in me the gift of you everywhere, here and now, full and complete with the wisdom of favor.
