So many of us would like to experience more love in our lives. We would love to be the recipient of a loving relationship, loving favor, loving health and wholeness, and absolute good. But how do we activate the energy of love so that we are no longer longing for its presence but realize that it is right in our midst?
Matthew 5:44 and Luke 6:27 says that we must love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us.
That’s not easy to do, but it is the only way that we can empower ourselves fully and completely in the awesome energy and awareness of love.
1 Corinthians 13:4 says “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.” But it never ever fails
(1 Corinthians 13:8). This requires that we “walk in love” (1 John 1:6), that we love one another (John 13:34), that we allow the full and complete power of love transcend our shortcomings. (Peter 4:8).
1 John 4:20 says “Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar.” Luke 10:27, Matthew 22:39 and Mark 12:31 says “‘Love your neighbor as yourself.” 2 Corinthians 13:11 says “Strive for full restoration, encourage one another, be of one mind, live in peace.” 2 Corinthians 5:13 says “do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love.”
Galatians 5:14 says “For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” 1 John 2:10 says “Anyone who loves their brother and sister lives in the light, and there is nothing in them to make them stumble.”
1 John 3:10 says “For this is the message you heard from the beginning: We should love one another.” 1 John 4:7 says “let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.” 1 John 4:12 says “No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.”
1 Peter 3:8 says “Finally, all of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble.”
1 John 3:10 says “For this is the message you heard from the beginning: We should love one another.” 1 John 4:7 says “let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.”
1 John 4:12 says “No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.”
1 Corinthians 16:14 says “Do everything in love.” 1 Corinthians 13:2 says If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.”
Romans 5:5 says “God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.” Luke 10:27, Matthew 22:37 and Mark 12:30 says “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.”
Romans 13:8 
says “Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law.” Colossians 3:12-14 says “as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.”
John 4:18 says “There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.”
Romans 8:28 says “in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
James 1:12 says “Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.”
John 12:27 says “Anyone who loves their life will lose it, while anyone who hates their life in this world will keep it for eternal life.” 1 Timothy 1:14
says “The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.”
Romans 12:9 says “Love must be sincere.” Philippians 1:9 says ” this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight.” 1 John 3:18 says ” let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.” 1 John 4:8 says “Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.”
Accordingly, we will meet each Sunday and during the entire Lenten Season to uplift love in our lives, with workshops on loving our enemies; loving ourselves; doing everything in love; and loving God.
